Two bugs and a possible glitch

Bug 1:

Right after installing I created a new use case diagram, added a system with an actor and one use case. I right clicked the use case and selected “Open specification”. The specification box doesn’t come up. I tried several things, closing and starting again, reinstalling, but whatever I try it won’t come up.

Bug 2:

When attempting to uninstall the product (to reinstall for the above bug) I got a very nasty error right away. It removed the product from the list of installed applications but the files and everything else are still there. On my desktop there was an error log with the following information:

Possible glitch:

When I reinstalled the product and pointed at the key I got it worked fine. When I tried to run the program however it told me there was an invalid key code. I set it to community edition, which solved this problem.

All in all I must say the program sounds and looks good, but so far I’ve spent 3 hours of my boss’ time evaluating it with a very, very poor result. :frowning:

Dear Robert2,

Thank you for your message. For the popup menu problem, could you please tell me more information about your working environment, such as OS and the build number of the VP-UML that you are using? Or if possible, could you please send me the vp.log file? You can find the vp.log file in %VP Suite Installation dir%/bin directory. Please send the log file to rain@visual-paradigm.com. Thanks in advance!

For the uninstall problem, I’ve forwarded the error log to our engineers to follow up. I’ll keep you informed once there are any feedbacks.

About the license key problem, I guess the problem is caused because you are using a product that does not match the edition you are licensed for. Please re-adjust the product edition from Product Edition Manager, that can be started from ${VP-Suite_Home}/bin/VP Suite Product Edition Manager 1.1.exe or Start Menu (For Windows user).
