Unable to Reopen model stored in Local File System

I’ve noticed that whenever I attempt to re-open a model/project in 16.1 that was stored in the local file system, I MUST OPEN the project first. Reopening doesn’t work if the project is stored on the local file system.

Once I have “Opened” the project, subsequent reopening working fine …until I terminate VP. Then, it starts all over again.

Running VP Standard: 16.1
OS: MacOS Catalina 10.15.2
Memory: 16 GB
