Our team tried using the visual paradigm extension on visual studio to do roundtrip updating from UML class diagrams to C# code. We got it working for some time, though we found the extension to be pretty brittle - specifically, when we open the extension from visual studio for the first time, we’re met with an error message
“could not load file or assembly. ‘Microsoft.VisualStudio.VCProjectEngine, Version=17.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=xxxxx’ or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.“
Then when we open the visual paradigm extension one more time, it starts working again.
A bigger problem is that after a windows update a few weeks ago, the roundtrip updating function stopped working with an error message that pops up after a few minutes that says there’s a network issue.
I don’t know if the two issues I described are related, but does anyone know how these can be fixed?
P.S. For context, we have standard floating licenses for VP and it works well in standalone.
