What is the differences between VP and ArchiMetric?

Starting from version 13.0 the Visual Paradigm Enterprise Edition was being rebrand into ArchiMetric (http://www.archimetric.com/). And the former Visual Paradigm Professional Edition is now just call “Visual Paradigm”. The ArchiMetric is focus for the enterprise architecture modeling user, and the Visual Paradigm is focus for the software designer and developers. Feel free to contact me for any questions.

Is the professional edition a subset of Archimetric? Are the models compatible?

Since v13.0 the Professional Edition is now just called “Visual Paradigm”. On the features it is a subset of ArchiMetric. The models between Visual Paradigm and ArchiMetric are compatible with each other. Of course the diagrams created by ArchiMetric will become read only when you open it with Visual Paradigm.
