Do I really have to right-click every time I add an attribute/operation? How is there not a shortcut to do this?

If you are referring to Visual Paradigm Desktop version, press hotkey Alt+Shift-A and Alt+Shift-O while a class is selected in diagram will create new attribute and operation respectively. Or if an attribute/operation is being selected, simply press Insert key. For VP Online currently there is no hotkey to do it.
