could please explain what the difference is between ‘check out project’ and ‘open project’.
It appears to be the same functionality.

Hi user,

Thanks for your inquiry. “Checkout project” is to copy the project from server to your local machine, and “Open project” is to open the project file. You can checkout the project but not open the project for modeling.

Hello team, I am new to VP. I am having issues updating the project from Team Repository. As a workaround one of my colleague suggested to delete the local project and again “Check Out”. Can you please let me know, how to DELETE the local “Checked Out” project from the MAC machine. Would appreciate the help.
